By creating cooperatives of artisans, bringing families together, and partnering with talented individuals we are able bring you the most amazing and unique drinkware that you're ever going to find.

Our products travel thousands of miles through the mountains and hard to reach towns. Often times, even the special raw materials behind them are procured by foot high up into the mountains. The artisans we work with respect the tradition of 100's of years old with their craftsmanship and techniques.

From our love of agave spirits is why our team wakes up every day and works tirelessly to bring these items to you. It pleases us to be given the opportunity to share the amazing and truly authentic items with you. 

We also want to introduce you to the founder Greg Rutkowski.

Since he was very little, he was around tequila and mezcal. It was an integral part of family gatherings and is a tradition his grandparents brought with them from Mexico.

It wasn't until he was 25 or so when he was reintroduced to agave spirits. Living in Chicago at the time, Chicago was experiencing a sort of "agave boom" bars and restaurants focused on agave were opening everywhere and it was all bartenders could talk about. Greg quickly became fascinated as more types of mezcal became available. 

After several years of tasting, learning, traveling to Mexico, Greg saw an opportunity to bring artisans and agave spirit lovers together in the United States for the first time. Mezcal For Life was born.

Shortly after, he moved to Puerto Vallarta Jalsico to get closer to his Mexican roots. Increasing his studies in agave spirits with a particular emphasis on raicilla. 

Today Mezcal For Life is the leading store in Mexican drinkware serving customers and retail stores all over the world.
