Made in a Zapotec village called San Marcos Tlapazola by the famous "Women of Red Clay."
This piece is inspired by the rough beauty of the San Marcos pottery tradition and is derived from traditional grills that were used to support comales in order to make tortillas.
It can be used to cook food, or to simply keep it hot on the table with charcoal burning inside.
